Getting more out of WebEQuality
Introduction
The main part of the WebEQuality e-learning course has our standard content, at a level of interest suitable for a wide range of people: disabled and non-disabled, private individuals and employers, etc.
However, some people need greater depth of supporting information about topics of special interest to them. Therefore, we have included in the training programme pages of additional reading that you can dip into as you require. These extra pages are free!
What special topics do we cover?
Currently, we provide these topics:
- (1) The Disability Equality Duty (DED, also referred
to as the Duty to Promote Disability Equality) - a general introduction to what it is and what
government departments, health trusts, schools and colleges, local authorities, etc are required
to do to comply with it
- (2) Landlords and the Disability Discrimination Act
(DDA) and (3) Social housing and the DED
- these pages are especially relevant to council housing and social housing, to housing associations and other bodies regulated by the Housing Corporation
- (4) healthcare and the NHS - general and DED
- (5) the DED for primary and secondary schools
